**I’m not being paid by any of these companies. I just think that these products will greatly benefit growers**

Here’s a list I have compiled of 6 grow products that are saving home growers time and/or money. Some items on this list are on the expensive side and are an investment, but I think the amount of time saved makes them worth the investment. So let’s get started!

HerbsNow Dryer

First on the list is the HerbsNow dryer. It is a specially designed dehydrator with extra low heat settings to perfectly dry your cannabis, every time. This handy device also speeds up traditional dry times because of the consistent airflow and environment. I was skeptical at first about it, but after seeing GrowWeedEasy test it and test their cannabis after, it’s convinced me of the effectiveness of this product. The basic model costs $149USD so roughly around $200CAD. It can dry about 6 ounces at a time, which I believe is great for indoor cannabis cultivators. If you grow larger volumes, there are bigger packages (multiple devices) that save compared to buying multiple devices separately. The HerbsNow Dryer can dry up to 6 ounces in as little time as 5 days. It doesn’t have that hay smell and takes less time to cure afterwards. In my opinion, this is a worth while investment because it saves time drying and reduces the cure time as well. Plus, it takes the guess work out of drying for people who have a difficult time with the drying and curing process.

TrimBag Dry Trimmer

The TrimBag is a specially designed bag that will trim the excess leaves off your cannabis plants in a matter of minutes. This product is such a time saver for outdoor and indoor growers alike. It can trim up to 2 pounds at a time! Imagine having 2 pounds of your cannabis trimmed in as little as 10 minutes. I was also skeptical about this product until I saw the results from growers all over Instagram. Although the TrimBag Dry Trimmer is pricey at $329USD or approximately $440CAD, it is well worth it because of the time you’ll save. It’s bladeless design uses gentle friction to remove excess leaves while maintaining the the natural contours of the buds. It also comes with hemp oil to lubricate the zipper, which I think it’s a nice touch. Although this is the most expensive item on the list, it will pay for itself because of the time saved. Why waste hours of your time trimming when that time could be used tending to your plants or spending time with family?

MarsHydro TS1000

The MarsHydro TS 1000 is a quantum board light that is changing the game for growers on a budget. This light is great for beginners and at $184.99CAD on Amazon.ca, you can’t beat the price. It has a white light spectrum with some 660-665nm infrared lights for increased growth and uses about 150 true watts. The light is recommended for an area of 3’Γ—3′ for the vegetation stage, 2’Γ—2′ in the flowering stage and yields an average of 1.5 grams per watt. It replaces a 250 watt Metal Halide/High Pressure Sodium light. The spectrum makes it easier to monitor leaf colours for deficiencies while being easier on the eyes and also has better light penetration than the blurple spectrum lights. MiGroLight on Instagram, tested this light and called it a game changer. He was surprised at how efficient it was for its price point, which makes it a great investment for first time growers and experienced growers alike. The only cons he had were the flimsy reflector, no protection on the LEDs and the driver bring mounted on the back.

Inkbird IBS-TH1 temperature/humidity monitor with app

Whether you just want to monitor your environment or adjust it, Inkbird has a device for you. The Inkbird IBS-TH1 is a monitor that you can sync to an app on your phone. It uses Bluetooth to connect to your phone app and runs off only 1 AAA battery. It has a range of about 50 meters or 164 feet, which is pretty impressive. It will monitor temperature and humidity throughout the day. By default, it collects data every minute, but can be adjusted to 6 other options. It will store the data in the sensor for about 20 days. This is a great tool for indoor growers and it only costs $38.99CAD. This helps to give you a better look into your grow environment, even when your not in it.

Inkbird ITC-608T temperature/humidity controller

If you’re looking to take it a step further and adjust the temperature/humidity, then check out the Inkbird ITC-608T. This handy device allows you to plug in 2 devices (such as humidifier/dehumidifier & heater/air conditioner) to help control you grow environment. The ITC-608T is $97.99CAD and can be a very helpful tool to control humidity and temperatures fluctuations in the grow area. Setting it up is easy, you simply plug in sensors, choose whether you’ll use a humidifier or dehumidifier and a heater or air conditioner. You set up your ideal temperature and humidity and what changes will turn on your plugged in appliances. You can also mount it on the wall for easy viewing, use and to save space.

Vivosun mini dehumidifier

Vivosun is making dehumidifiers for growing more affordable. Usually if a grower wanted a dehumidifier in their grow area, they would have to spend closer to $200CAD to get a decent one. Now, Vivosun is offering a mini dehumidifier, that’s good for smaller grows for only $59.99CAD. The dehumidifier can hold up to 1.3L, which isn’t a ton, but would be sufficient in a smaller grow tent/area. It runs continuously until full and then automatically shuts off until emptied. This dehumidifier has a compact design, making it a great addition to a small grow area or tent.
